지선경은 서울시립대학교 환경조각학과를 졸업한 뒤 독일 브라운슈바이크 국립예술대학교에서 마이스터슐러 학위를 받았다.

작가는 일상성과 내면화된 인상을 추상적 언어로 시각화하는 작업을 이어가고 있다. 드로잉을 기반으로 회화, 입체, 설치 작업 등 다양한 형식을 아우르며, 이 과정에서 평면과 입체, 그리고 환경의 경계를 모호하게 하는 시도를 통해 새로운 형식의 가능성을 모색한다. 특히 빛이 만들어내는 공간의 변화에 주목하며, 형태, 색, 운동성의 변화를 작업 속에 담아낸다. 일상적인 사물들이 빛과 상호작용하는 순간의 장면들을 관찰하고, 그 속에서 나타나는 건축적이면서도 색채적인 조형 요소들이 어떻게 움직이고, 변형되는지 탐구한다.
